Kuwait's Original Spice, Since 1958

Kuwait's Original Spice, Since 1958

Where a taste becomes a memory

Samra Aden began in 1958, when my grandfather and a Yemeni friend carried green coffee from Aden and roasted it here in Kuwait. What started with coffee grew into a house of spices, blends, and nuts, all made by hand and held to one standard: never follow the market, set its taste.

Three generations later, we still stand on Ahmad Al-Jaber Street, where it all started. My father and I grind the same recipes, source from India, Syria, and Vietnam, and mix blends no one else can copy. The shop has grown, but the promise in every jar is exactly the one my grandfather made.

Our mission is simple: to guard our family's recipes and grind them to the same quality since 1958, so the taste of Kuwait stays on every table.

Complaints or Compromises

One street, one family, and a recipe Kuwait has trusted for three generations.

Samra Aden is not a chain and never wanted to be. Since 1958 we have worked from one shop on Ahmad Al-Jaber Street, the same street where my grandfather first roasted coffee carried from Aden. Everything we sell is ground and blended here, by hand, in small batches, the way it has always been done.

Our promise is simple, and it has never changed: source from the best, blend to a recipe no one else holds, and put quality before price every single time. That is why families who bought from my grandfather still send their children to us today. The taste is the proof.

Since 1958 – Kuwait's original spice house.

One Family – Three generations, one recipe book.

Sourced at Origin – India, Syria, and Vietnam.

Signature Blends – Recipes no one else can copy.

Ground Fresh – In small batches, by hand.

Ahmad Al-Jaber Street – Same address since day one.

Zero Complaints – In 68 years

From coffee to a house of spice

Coffee led to cardamom, cardamom to blends. Over the years the family perfected spice mixes no one else could match, sourcing from India, Syria, and Vietnam, and never once competing on price. Reputation did the selling.

Today, The third generation

My father and I still grind on the same street, by the same recipes. The shop has a new branch and a growing name, but every jar carries the promise my grandfather made in 1958: set the taste, never follow it.
